Foreign Exchange Student "Natsumi"

WELCOME PARTY FOR ALL EXCHANGE STUDENTS ...

March 22nd- April 1st

We were thought of as a family from Tamarah Norton to have a foreign exchange student for 10 days in our home... We were so excited we couldnt say no... Karina was so excited too... The arrival of Natsumi was a little weird... What do you say to someone that cant speak a lot of english and they are comming home to live with you... Most of the time when we would have conversations with her she would agree and then we would turn around and ask her about what we were talking about and she would have no clue... It became an ongoing thing that I would joke a lot and we would all be laughing and she wouldnt so Karina or Chris would have to tell her it was a JOKE and then she would point at me, say joke and laugh... It was hilarious...
Natsumi Loves going to the malls and shopping
the funny part to shopping is she never would buy anything...
Natsumi got to experiance Doggie school for Goliath...
Get together Dinner Party with the Nortons, Hardisty's and Giacominis...
All the kids had a dance off... Natsumi rocked it...
Thats our girl...

 Japan Students teaching Karina Origami...
The Three LDS Families all together with their Exchange students...
Karinas Open House...Natsumi got to see all her projects and see an Elementary School here in America...
We tried to take natsumi out as much as we could so she could experience all different types of food... The sad part to this night is the two guys in the back ground did a dine and dash...
We had the worst server ever...
One thing Natsumi wanted to do while she was here in America is visit the CHARLES M SCHULZ MUSEUM...

Took Natsumi to one of our favorite Sushi resturants...
Being Japanese Resturant, no one that worked there was Japanese...
Seriously, we wanted her to be able to talk to someone in the public in her language...

Since Natsumi has left we have exchanged a few emails.. Her parents wrote us a thank you letter and welcomed us to Japan to stay with them. They sent us a huge package with variety of things from Japan... We hope one day to see natsumi again...

Always in our hearts Natsumi....
